My next project is a continuation of my last two books – thus my research material is of triple benefit to me.
The project gives an account of the history of the Prince of Wales Fairbridge Farm School, located on Vancouver Island, BC from 1935 to the early 1950s. It includes a brief history of British Child Migration and it concludes with stories and experiences while at the school from the Former Fairbridgians. This may be the most important project to pursue, as the Former Fairbridgians are an aging group, and as editor of the Fairbridge Canada Association’s Gazette, I know all too well how many have passed away, as I include an obituary column in the Gazette.
